Without the media we wouldn't know what was going on in the world, but the media have also been caught out making things worse than what they are, scare mongering and fear tactics. So should the media have more strict control put on them?

The Internet should remain a free place. If you don't like the negativity of it, read a different part of it. That's what I like about it. There are very few, if any limitations to what we can and cannot do.

I agree with you, we have the right to know what is going on, we have a right to express our views on what is going on also, i asked this question because there have been a few reports that caused a lot of international unrest with the people in certain areas, only to find out later on that most of it had been made up. I think reporters have a responsibility to tell the truth rather than perhaps hide it, and i also think that the medias like us have the right to be told the truth as well.
